Patristicast: Scholar's Forum, on Seeing God

In this episode of Scholar's Forum, Rev. Dr. Boersma returns to patristicast to discuss his book Seeing God: The Beatific Vision in Christian Tradition. They discuss the biblical background of the beatific vision found in Matt. 5:8 as well as the philosophical background found in Plato and Plotinus. We then discuss various understandings of the beatific vision throughout the eastern and western Christian traditions. We conclude with a discussion of the importance of sacramentality for the world today.
