I was thrilled with the discussion around song and its key and vital role in what enchantment is. My fantasy novel plays heavily on the use of song as the way in which the true essence and relationship of the world is mediated. I also haunted by the conversation of devices as demon and the technological situation we are in as a form of spiritual warfare. I have written a collection of "Screwtape style" letters in which Camazotz and Malthus swap tactics and methods of using smartphones, apps and devices against their patients in order to separate them from the Enemy.
I think I have sent this video to about 15 people in my personal life and that is producing numerous subsequent conversations.
The big takeaways for me that I will be pursuing with all haste.
Stillness and single thought prayers.
Giving of oneself as a means of imitating God.
Pursuing humility.
Engaging with the great cloud of witnesses to learn how to actively resist and lay siege to the Machine.
Focusing on the local manifestation of the Christian community as a reversal of the Machine logic of global systemic solutions.
