Maximus and the Eastern fathers' understanding of a spiritual law of nature being deeper and primary to irrational laws of nature that reigned for a time but were abolished through Christ reminds me of C.S. Lewis's Aslan explaining to the children in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" that his resurrection reflected a deeper magic in place from before the dawn of time that the White Witch knew not of.
Especially when you started weaving together Christ passing by on the water, God passing Moses in the rock, Jonah, Job, etc. you deepened every passage for me. Oh, and then drawing our attention to the two ‘walks’ of Peter on the water, the second at the end of John.
This was an outstanding message! I had the joy of being there!

Indeed! Thanks!
It was a blessing to hear this in person
