Father, this resonated with me deeply. I'm a plumber by trade, a career I chose over pastoring (and thanks be to God: I was barely an adult when I hit that fork in the road and was not ready to pastor anyone, even though my tradition would have allowed it). It is precisely through plumbing that God has taught me how to be a Christian - and, God willing, a pastor.

I hadn't considered St. Andrew's story from this angle but I'm glad you had the insight to do so.

Beautiful reflection, Hans! Made me think of a theme I have been reflecting on lately. Namely: the Sanctuary of the Ordinary

Thanks for this! I've been an aircraft mechanic for the last couple years. It's something I feel God has led me to but I've often struggled to understand why I'm here exactly, from a kingdom perspective.

This helps.

Thank you for sharing this article brother it really reminds me how the gospel was never meant to depend on systems or structures but on ordinary believers filled with the Holy Spirit Jesus Himself said Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature Mark 16:15 and Paul reminded us that faith grows only when people hear the message of Christ Romans 10:17 the early church didn’t wait for institutions they simply obeyed the call of God and went wherever the Spirit led Acts 1:8 when systems become more important than souls we drift away from the heart of Christ who came to seek and save the lost Luke 19:10 true discipleship happens when believers live the Word walk in the Spirit love people with sincerity and boldly share the good news one person at a time Ephesians 4:11–12 May the Lord help us keep our hearts focused on the mission He gave Are you personally feeling God nudging you to step out more boldly in sharing your faith?
